WFTS TV Channel 28, Tampa has donated half the cost ($7,500) of a weather station located at the Academy. The motion camera for approximately $7,500 has been donated by the Southwest Florida Water Management District. Donations for weather course lectures from individuals, companies or government agencies are greatly appreciated.

The Academy is now a part of the WeatherBug Network of more than 8,000 schools across the USA. Logging on to the Academy's tracking station will make local weather data instantly available to both government and the public.
